LAGOS CITY CHIC CAPSULE WARDROBE: MAXI DRESS

Floral pattern dresses and straw hats are the ultimate spring 2017 announcement. And not only that it's a trend that is worth investing in, because maxi dresses will always be in style.

I'm continuing with building THE LAGOS CITY CHIC CAPSULE WARDROBE; it's a series which features all the essential pieces a Lagos chic needs in her wardrobe if you haven't been following, catch up here and here. Today's essential piece is the MAXI DRESS. The breezy nature of maxi dresses and the different prints and colours they come in, make them an all time necessity. Church, weddings, suya dates, beach outings there are so many places to style a maxi dress for.

For me, I chose a dress that snags the waist with a side slit, I wanted a tossed together feminine look that's why I added the straw hat and the hausa woven basket which I transformed to a fashion forward purse. Can you tell I was reaching for an Asiyami Gold-esque look? Lol Not every time fashionably chic, sometimes ethnic chic! With this exact dress, you can choose to pair with summer wedges or sneakers, depending on the occasion, Accessories can be gold, silver or bright to match your maxi dress.
